Meet our Specialists

Dr. Breeland is a Jackson native who completed her medical education at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and her residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. A National Merit Finalist and Alpha Omega Alpha inductee, she has been in practice since 1990 and is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Breeland is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has special interests in infertility, minimally invasive surgery, menopause care, and bio-identical hormone therapy. She values caring for women across all stages of life and has had the privilege of serving multiple generations of families throughout her career. Outside of medicine, Dr. Breeland enjoys medical mission work, cooking, reading, skiing, and spending time with her husband, children, and community.

Dr. Meck earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Meck has special interests in adolescent gynecology and the treatment of interstitial cystitis, and she is known for her commitment to caring for the whole person—both physically and emotionally. Outside of medicine, Dr. Meck enjoys mentoring young women, being active in her church and community, and spending time with her husband and three children in Jackson.

Dr. MicMinn is a Mississippi native who earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. McMinn has practiced with East Lakeland OB/GYN since 2003 and serves on the medical staffs of Merit River Oaks Hospital and Merit Woman’s Hospital. Her clinical interests include adolescent gynecology, preventive care, infertility, minimally invasive surgery, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. She has been recognized by SottoPelle® for her outstanding contributions to BHRT and for the compassionate care she provides her patients. Outside of medicine, Dr. McMinn enjoys time with her husband, three children, and church community.

Dr. Taheri earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed her residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge, where she served as Chief Resident and received a Teaching Award. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Taheri serves on the medical staffs of River Oaks Hospital, Woman’s Hospital, and Surgicare of Jackson. Her clinical interests include vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), minimally invasive surgery, and patient education. Fluent in Spanish, she enjoys caring for Spanish-speaking patients and is a strong supporter of breastfeeding mothers. Outside of medicine, Dr. Taheri enjoys medical mission work, running, yoga, and spending time with her husband and three daughters.

Dr. Turner is dedicated to providing thoughtful, compassionate obstetric and gynecologic care rooted in both clinical excellence and faith-guided values. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she received multiple awards for excellence in patient care, teaching, minimally invasive surgery, and maternal-fetal medicine. Dr. Turner is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cervical dysplasia, and adolescent gynecology. She serves on the medical staffs of Merit River Oaks Hospital, and Merit Woman’s Hospital and lives in Brandon with her husband and two children.

Sharon has cared for women in the Jackson area for three decades and has been a valued member of the East Lakeland OB/GYN team since 1995. She earned her nursing degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she served as president of her senior class and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, and later completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Vanderbilt University. Sharon brings a strong clinical background in critical care and cardiology to her practice and has particular interests in adolescent care, menopause management, and bone health. She holds hospital privileges at Merit River Oaks Hospital and Merit Woman’s Hospital and is an active member of several professional nursing organizations. Outside of the office, Sharon enjoys paddle boarding, following SEC sports, reading, and spending time with her husband, three children, and church community.

Lauren provides attentive, comprehensive care to women at every stage. She completed her undergraduate studies at Mississippi State University and Mississippi University for Women, and earned her advanced nursing education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing. Lauren is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, with additional certification as a Registered Nurse in Obstetrics. She also holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Outside of work, Lauren volunteers at the American Red Cross and enjoys spending time with family, crafting, and caring for her horses.
